The Lord Provides
10, 10, 11,11
#474
  Good old songs (Cayce book)

Tho' troubles assail, and dangers affright,
Tho' friends should all fail, and foes all unite
Yet one thing secures us, what ever be tide
The scriptures assures us the Lord will provide.

The birds without barn or store-house are fed;
From them let us learn to trust for our bread;
His saints what is fitting shall never be denied.
so long as 'tis written, the Lord will provide.

We may, like the ships, by tempests be tossed
On perilous deeps, but cannot be lost;
Though Satan enrages the wind and the tide,
The promise engages, the Lord will provide

His call we'd obey, like Abram of old,
Not knowing our way, but faith makes us bold;
For tho' we are strangers we have a good guide,
And trust, in all dangers, the Lord will provide.

Scriptural Verse

Notable Quotes:   "Let none infer, for a moment, that we are opposed to teaching Heathen the word of God, or that we would hinder any one from preaching among them. Like Paul, we rejoice that Christ is preached among them by Missionaries or any others; even if such preaching should add to our reproach; though we ourselves would not, for any consideration preach in accordance with humanly devised plans."  Phil 1, 16 Elder J. M. Watson page 224
